I've never had this problem before, but since the winter, my hands have been so dry that they look calloused!. Not my whole hand, but on both hands, the thumbs and space leading to the pointer fingers have been so dry that they're white and cracked!. Help! In 37 years I've never had this problem before!

I've tried Gold Bond!.!.!. even softening cream for feet! Do you know of anything medicated, but over the counter, that will give me results!?

I'm a firm believer in moisturizer and CAN'T STAND being dry like this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have always had very dry skin!. Here are a few wonder things I've found to work!. Firstly make sure you are really well hydrated - at least 2ltrs of water a day this can be hard in winter (this really does help)!.

The best thing I've ever found is Sorbolene cream!. The good thing about it is you can use it as soap too!. It is really easy to find in Australia you buy it from supermarkets or chemists but when traveling I have had difficulty finding it in other countries!. While you are repairing your hands use it as soap too!. My mum has exactly the same cracking pattern as you and she finds adding Lanolin (pure) to that area helps!. You can get this at chemists in baby sections of the supermarket (women use it when starting breast feeding)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've never tried this!.!.!.but, I've heard that if you put vaseline on your hands at night, and wear cotton gloves during the night, that it really softens your hands!. I would try Eucerin!.!.!.or a really heavy moisturizing cream like that!. Use a moisturizing soap!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.and avoid exposing your hands to any chemicals!. Wear rubber gloves when you're cleaning!. Hope one or some of these suggestions helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may be a nutrtion problem,, try vit E and Vit A and plain vaseline as often as can , then put on gloves a little while till soaks in!. I read this in a prevention magazine while back!. You can also direct apply E to worst areas!. *mamatxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Go to your doctor and get a prescription for some steroid/lotiony/stuff!. Or if you put on the lotion at night, then put vasiline over it, then put a sock on it, it helps too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
