What can I do about my daughter, she's always breaking out in hives?!

Question: What can I do about my daughter, she's always breaking out in hives!?
I've taken her to an allergist, and herbalist, acupuncturist, primary care Dr and while they give her things that are a 'band-aid' to help rid her of the hives, they keep coming back!. I know she is stressed out, (but who isn't these days!?) working part-time and going to school full time!. Any other suggestions to help this poor girl!? She's 20 yrs old and in good health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went through a similar phase last year, right around the time of my wedding!. I have no other known allergies!. I started to break out with these red itchy hives, at random times o the day!. They would last between 30 minutes and 2 hours, then they'd dissipate!. It did coincide with a very stressful period of my life, though!. I was given double the responsibility at work (without being given any choice in the matter) and I was singlehandedly planning my wedding (with no help and much protest from my other half!.)

My doctor said it's a normal histamine response to stress!. It doesn't necessarily have to be a reaction to an allergen from the environment!. Everyone's body responds differently to stress!. I did all the band-aids you're referring to as well, but the doctor insisted that there's no permanent fix!. I just kept ointment and Benadryl on hand at all times!. Fortunately, about 3 months after the wedding, the hives subsided!. I have not had an episode since then!.

It was highly annoying for the 5 months that I suffered, but once I reached a lesser level of stress, my body's equilibrium was restored!. Tell your daughter to hang in there, maybe even see a therapist for stress management!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is stressed inducted she may want to check into meditation, learn to relax and somewhat decompress!. Exercise is also a great way of relieving stress, walking, running, rollerblading, kickboxing, etc!. Could be related to a food sensitivity, try an elimination diet for a week or so, see if once certain foods are removed, does it stop!. There are many different types online!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Busbar!. If she has hives because of stress like I do!.
Works great!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Can't promise anything but have you looked at SCENTS in assorted products!?

laundry detergent--it never all washes out

body wash or soap--most are scented

deodorant/anti-perspirant--most are scented

are there pets in the house!? Their flea collar, their shampoo, what they roll in--all could cause it!.

Could also be something she eats that produces hives--probably best thing for a while is to keep a log of what she eats, drinks, and is exposed to and see when hive break outs occur!. This can be really tedious and time-consuming!.

BTW, could be an additive/preservative in food--like BHT, TBHQ, etc!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
