Question: Do you think I'm lactose intolerant!?
I'm thirteen years old, and I've always been a big milk drinker, but lately, when I drink milk or eat eggs and cheesy stuff, I've noticed that I've had more gas, more stomach cramps, and more diarrhea than usual!. I usually feel ok if I eat/drink very small amount of such foods or avoid them, but now if I ever eat too much of them, I get an upset stomach!. This has never happened before!. Does it sound like I'm becoming lactose intolerant!? The symptoms seem to fit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you have some degree of lactose intolerance!. I noticed that I've had stomach problems after ingesting very rich creamy things like ice cream and half and half/heavy cream, I'm 20 now!. In anatomy and physiology class, I learned that when you get older, you lose the ability to produce the enzyme lactase which breaks down the lactose in milk so that contributes to your gas and stomach aches!. I think you can still eat/drink milk products but just not too much of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes it sounds like it!. I'm lactose intolerant, and so is my mother, and my father was also!. I can drink plain milk to an extent, but its better if I dont eat it on an empty stomach, or something else is mixed in it!. And cheese and eggs give me real bad diarrhea and gas (sorry for TMI)!. But everyone who is lactose intolerant has different degrees and symptoms of it!. But I say if u react badly to milk products at all then ur lactose intolerant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
eggs and cheese do not have anything to do with lactose intolerance (except cottage cheese) - when milk is processed to make cheese it loses lactose!. eggs never ever had any lactose!. lactose is a sugar in milk!. maybe u should just eat less!. eating a truck load of anything can give u an upset stomachWww@Answer-Health@Com
I can't drink milk, eat eggs or cheese!. White cheese that's on pizza I can eat a little bit!.
From what I remember it got worse as I got older!.
Eggs I like but just can not digest them, I will throw up afterwards!. Ice cream and cheese I get stomach cramps and gas!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
