I, too, am diabetic!. High blood sugar levels do make us more attractive to biting insects, but peripheral neuropathy also produces that sensation, especially at night!. I take a drug called Lyrica for it, there are similar drugs in the same class that can be prescribed by your neurologist, endocrinologist, or other physician you see for your diabetes!. These are all prescription drugs, not available over the counter and should only be prescribed by someone with a complete knowledge of your drug history and disease process!. Bringing blood sugar under control can make you less attractive to bugs, But ant traps around the path the ants take can solve the problem!. The ants take the poison back to the nest where it also kills the queen!. This is the most effective solution if bites are the problemWww@Answer-Health@Com

Okay, are ants actually feasting on your feet, or does it just feel like it!?!?!? If they are actually feasting, I would get an exterminator immediately!. You also need to know where they are coming from and why!. If it just feels like ants are eating your feet at night, you probably have diabetic neuorpathy!. This is damage to the nerve endings!. The symptoms are burning tingling sensations that can be very painful!. See your doctor, there are medications that can help some!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you try to put Vicks Vapo Rub on them!? It seems to repel kittens!. If that doesn't work, why not try foot powder or powdered Boric Acid!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes! Insect repellent is normally the way to go, and make sure you wash your feet before bed!
A minty lotion would probably help, too!.

Also - are you sure they're doing it, and it's not just a sensation!? Better ask the doctor, too!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Spray the floor around your bed with a surface spray or use eucalyptus oil!. They should not get into your bed!. But hey what lotion are you using that attracts ants!?!. Try something different!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

get the ants out of your house, then they wont be attacking your feet, and maybe you're putting on lotion which is making them attack your feet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Skip the lotion!.!.!.buy some ant spray!. WHERE are you sleeping!?!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
