Unfortunately I don't know about diabetes but I have practiced low carb for quite a while!. Here are some of the things I use to keep healthy and low carb:

1) Turkey Breast from the Deli (Sometimes wrapped in a low carb / high fiber tortilla)
2) Sugar free jello! Totally free food
3) Nuts (unsalted, bulk)

Hope these help!. I use a ton of fruits and veggies in my diet!.!.!. but you discussed these already!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I like lightly or unsalted nuts; cashew, almonds or pistachios!. Around 10:00am I eat about 1/4 cup, seems to work!. Jerky works once in while, some are too salty!. I also find yogurt, plain, works is a nice change!.
