what you may think is a very long lasting cold really isn't!. what happens is that you have one cold!. your resistance is down, and you catch another!. you may catch a few different colds one after another!. my doctor explained this to me!. when I thought I had a horrible lung and throat infection!. blood tests proved him right, you should wash your ands alot and stay away from crowds right now!. get lots of rest too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Kathy P has a good answer!. If you had a viral infection, then that virus would have been cleared by your immune responses!. But a secondary bacterial infection of the bronchial tubes (bronchits) or of the sinuses (Sinusitis with post-nasal drip) may have taken hold because of your weakened state during the initial illness!. I would discuss this with your doctor and ask if an antibiotic, like Biaxin or Azythromycin could be prescribed to help clear things up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
