Does the pollution from the roads/highways/cities contribute to declined respira!

Question: Does the pollution from the roads/highways/cities contribute to declined respiratory health!?
Primarily respiratory health, but overall, what does all the pollution we're exposed to and even breathe in on the roads, highways, cities, what does that really do to us, day after day after day!? I mean, we really are getting alot of it, and even when our car windows are totally closed, things seep in!. It just does, and it's unfortunate but cars aren't completely airtight!.

So how does all that pollution and car/truck exhaust and what not affect us in the long run, or does it!?

Is there anything we can do to counterract that, aside from moving out of the area, or are we for the most part just scr98wed and have to just pray that we don't have declined respiratory and overall health!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Absolutely! That's why the EPA puts out ozone alerts!. There is an increased incidence of asthma in children and exacerbations of bronchitis and other respiratory complications in the elderly!. Also, there is some fascinating epidemiological evidence!. In New York city, for intance, children who live closer to busy streets (lots of gas vehicle and diesel truck emissions) are at higher risk to have or to develop asthma!. It is the NO emission from cars and the sulfur and other particulates from diesel that are the problems!.)

As far as combatting it, you can look for local citizen's groups, write to the EPA for information, and find Congressmen and Senators (local, State and Federal) who are concerned about this issue (they are mostly Democrats)!. Write to their offices and they will be happy to provide you with further information and ways to get involved!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes,and it is more evedient in those with weak systems!.
Everything bad that is added to the whole of anything
with make it less than what it is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To help reduce the damage, encourage people to commute in MASS Transit or carpool!. Many buses have bike racks on them!. Depending on how far I need to go, I ride my bike to the bus stop, put my bike on the bike rack and get off within a good distance (say 10 miles)!. MASS Transit has to run anyway, sometimes there are only 2 people on the bus!.!.!.
After17+ years off riding a bike, walking and/or running I developed a severe allergy to airborne pollutants (the worst for me is carbon monoxide, second is cigarette smoke)!. So yes your health is already exposed and will eventually decline if we do nothing about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
