Question: When and how did AIDS begin!?
Not as detailed as Wikipedia, but how microbiologically did AIDS begin, where, when, etc!. Just wondering because I never heard of AIDS before the 1970's!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The history of how it began is in question!. The history of how it spread is documented!. An airline employee who was gay and prolific in his travels and partners was slowly traced to be responsible for the start in the United States!. It was not understood but it was clearly understood that he was the source of an outbreak of something that killed!. There are many laws on the books to prevent spread of diseases by carriers!. These originate from people like "Typhoid Mary" who just could not keep from working in food preparation areas even though she could have lived a reasonable life without working at all!.
They tried to use these laws on him but could not document how he was spreading the disease or what it was either!.
The fact that he was a member of the gay community that fought any limits on it's members was a problem to the medical community!. They blew it!.Until it jumped from the primarily gay community to "straights" the religious community labeled it a "punishment from God as a sin" Much the same as all the the various plagues that have killed people worldwide!. The fact that apes in the wild sometimes have it and that they are hunted as "bush meat" may have been the start of it's spread!. And no, it was not around when I was growing up in the 60's!.
