Why would a leukemia patient have limited visitors?!

Question: Why would a leukemia patient have limited visitors!?
Why would a hospitalized leukemia patient have limited visitors!? Is it because his immune system is damaged!? Is it because he may get a bone marrow transplant!? If a patient can have one visitor, why can't he have more!? Thanks for any information you can provide!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
When a person has leukemia, their white cell count, the infection beating cells, are wiped out, so the possibilty of getting an infection is so great!. That's why visitation is limited!. If a person is awaiting a bone marrow transplant after their white cell count goes up within the normal range, they need to be infection free!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Most leukemia patients in the hospital, and sometimes out of the hospital when going through treatment are neutropenic!. That means the white blood cell count is dangerously - almost non existent!. Because of that, they are in isolation because they are incredibly susceptable to infectionWww@Answer-Health@Com

impenetrability of body experienced by very low leukemia patient, so that if too fatigue anfal would as a result!.

leukemia can only be healed through transplantation of bone marrow, but now no longer!.

with food which beregenerasi can, remediable leukimia, causing no more require is busy to look for bone marrow donor!.

The white blood cell count is low--therefore lowering immunity!. Visitors also stress the patient--although the patient may not be aware of it--and too many people adds confusion/ agitation/ demands of talking/ noise to patient!. Visitors are not top priority--health is top!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Either!.!.!. the patient has had or will have chemo therapy that will dwindle their ability to fight even simple infections!. A ordinary cold or sinus infection can spell horriffic complications!. They have to be infection-free BEFORE and AFTER the therapies!. There will be a "green light" that will be given at a safe time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The patient probably has very low immunity!. The smallest infection or germ could cause a serious threat!. Please try to understand, and support the patient in other ways!.

they have very low immunity and if they get even the slightest germ it could easily kill them so limiting the # of people near them limits the chance of that happening and most are so sick they are not up to large crowds of people visiting them anywayWww@Answer-Health@Com

easy!.!.because they have leukemia, which means their secondary defense system or white blood cells is below the normal level and the usual level of WBC in the body would be 5-10 x 10 9/L (superscript the 9)!.!.

Hope I heleped!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because his immune systems is so severely comprimised from chemo that they have not the ability to fight off infection and therefore would comprimise bone marrow transplant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
