a non fasting blood sugar is ok up to 140 as far as I know, and I work in a lab!. but, go with your doctors advice!. I would just avoid refined sugars and other carbohydrates, eat whole grains and foods low in sugar or eat fruits, also find a list of low glycemic index foods, the low glycemic index foods don't make your blood sugar spike up too fast, and eating alot of fiber will stabilize your glucose too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Gestational Diabetes is normal for pregnant patients because you need twice the amount of glucose you usually need for the day for the proper development of the fetus inside you!.!.

You really need to ask your doctor that question but I know exactly what you're going through!.

At first, my blood sugar levels were in the 200's range so I had to take insulin to regulate all that!.

My blood sugar levels are much better now - thanks to the insulin!.

I'm 39 weeks pregnant now so it's almost all over for me - thank God!

My baby will be in my arms very soon and hopefully the diabetes will disappear in a few weeks after delivery!.

Fingers crossed!

All the best to you and your baby!

P!.S!. I've always had an incurable sweet tooth, ever since early childhood - I guess I'm paying for it now!Www@Answer-Health@Com
