Question: There's a stye on my left eye!.!.!.!?
it's been there for about 2 or 3 days!.
how long do styes usually last!? when they "drain" or whatever, does it hurt!? what can i do to make it go away faster!?

Don't try to squeeze the pus from a sty on your own!. To relieve the pain and help a sty come to a point sooner, soak a clean cloth in warm water, wring it out and then apply it as a compress to your eyelid for 10 minutes, four times a day!. Once the sty drains on its own, keep the area clean!.
To prevent recurrent infections:
Wash your hands!. Keep your hands away from your eyes and practice good hand-washing techniques!. If you have children, make sure they know and practice proper hand-washing techniques because they may be more prone to sties!.
Take care with cosmetics!. You can help prevent recurrent infections by not using old cosmetics or sharing makeup with anyone!.
Make sure your contact lenses are clean!. If you wear contact lenses, wash your hands thoroughly before inserting your contacts and follow your doctor's advice on disinfecting your contacts!.
You may need to take special precautions, such as deliberately cleaning your eyelid, if you have underlying chronic blepharitis!.

Styes can last up to two weeks!. I have had a couple and the longest they have lasted is a week and a half!. It doesn't hurt when they burst and you really can't do anything to make it go away quicker!. You may want to try hot compresses i've heard that may work!. Mine hurt because of the weight they added on the eye, it felt like extra weight on my eye, to relieve this I bought some drops for my eye and it helped alot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

they are horribley annoying, and somewhat painful, but not when they drain!. a stye is basically a zit on the inside of your eyelid, so at somepoint it will come to a point!.!.!.!. this can scratch your eye and cause even more irritation, but the warm compresses help alot in keeping it soft, and it also feels good!. lol!.
I've had one so bad once i had to stay home from school cause it looked like my whole eye was swollen, it was HORRIBLE, lol!. luckily, i survived, and shall live on to tell the tale!. And you will live too! lol
