How do I know if I have MRSA?!
Question: How do I know if I have MRSA!?
I have had a rash on my hand for about 2 weeks!. It has been clearing up though!. Now I have a bunch of very tiny circular cuts on my hand, and a few bigger, odd shaped ones!. Is this just a rash, or could I have MRSA!? I put Peroxide on my hands because I was really scared and heard alcohol helped stop it!. My parents won't take me to the docter because they don't think it is MRSA but Im scared! Please Help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well it is not likely to be multiple resistant staph Arius which means that the staph infection is resistant to most antibiotics but it could still be lots of trouble!. It could be a parasite like mites or a fungus infection!. These sorts of things tend to be contagious so your parents might want to reconsider!. Is it on the palm or on the back of your hand!? Skin disorders really do require special training, so see the school nurse and then the dermatologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Does it itch!? If yes, it could be poison ivy, a form of allergic contact dermatitis!. Mites itch like mad, too!. Chiggers are mites, but they will usually be around your ankles or feet!.
If it's clearing up, it's probably not MRSA or staph!. Staph would be getting worse every day!. Staph tends to start out looking like a pimple and then turns into something that looks a little like a tiny volcano!.
Anyway, since it's on your hand, I'm leaning to contact dermatitis, which is either an allergy or an irritated area!. Browse "irritant contact dermatitis" and "allergic contact dermatitis"!. I am pretty sure you have one of these, although you realize people are going on very little information and cannot observe your hand so this is only an educated guess!.
If you think it's contact dermatitis, either variety, a little hydrocortisone cream should help it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
