Breast cancer is geneic in my family, both my grandmothers had it, and my great grandmother!.
im only 15, almost 16 and a month or so ago i notices a lump under my arm pit, it didnt hurt, it was hard and oval, it went away, or so i thought it did, and now its back, or coming back and its in the same spot, still hard and same shape!.
Could it be breast cancer at my age!? I am going to tell my mom, but im the only one awake right now and just curious to get my facts straight before i tell her tomorrow!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Only 5 - 10% of breast cancers are due to hereditary factors; the rest are random!. With one in nine women getting breast cancer at some time in their lives, it is perfectly possible that both your grandmothers had random rather than genetic breast cancer, unless you know otherwise!.
You will be at increased risk only if one of your grandmothers carried one of the faulty BCRA genes responsible for hereditary breast cancer AND if that gene was passed on to one of your parents, in which case you would have a 50% chance of inheriting that gene - although inheriting it would not mean you would definitely get breast cancer!.
Inherited breast cancer, or having breast cancer 'in the family' is much rarer than many people think!.
Breast cancer is EXTREMELY rare in a teenager; it would be most unlikely, even if you were susceptible to hereditary breast cancer, that you would develop it this young!. Women in their 20s and 30s who develop breast cancer are considered young to have it, and account for only a small percentage of those diagnosed with it - this is true even when the cancer is genetic!.

Don't worry!. It is not cancer!. Cancer does not come and go!. It only grows!. You described an enlarged lymphnode!. They are common in the armpit region!. They normally change size from time to time but it can also be a sign of infection!. I would tell your Mom about it anyways so she can take a look, but do not worry!. It is not cancer if it goes away and then comes back :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
It could be a harmless cyst or a swollen gland!. I had a swollen gland in mine and worried my self sick, the mammogram showed nothing!. You are wise to tell your mom asap and to check yourself on a regular basis with your family history!. The doctor told me to much caffeine could lead to swollen glands!. It is very rare to have breast cancer at your age and it could be something else that is non cancerous!. I don't think there are supposed to be lumps under the arms!. Get it checked by a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You also have lymph nodes under your arm that can get swollen if you have an infection I>E> cold, flu, mono!.!.!.you should not worry, tell your mom and get it ckd out!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
