When does insomnia turn unhealthy?!

Question: When does insomnia turn unhealthy!?
I've been dealing with a big issue lately and I simply cannot erase it from my mind!. I've gotten 3 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours, and I show no signs of stopping to sleep!. As soon as I close my eyes, the problem gets louder and sleep is too hard to achieve, hence, I stay awake!.
I've even blown off energy with singing, crying, masturbating, and drinking some alchol!.!. and yet I am awake!. Should I force myself to sleep with some Benadryl!? When does insomnia become threatening!? Am I already in a ''danger zone'' for some obscure, sleep-deprivation related issue!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
lol i think that insomnia becomes life threatening if something is physically keeping you awake!. when people stay up for long periods of time, they often hallucinate and basically go nuts!. in your case, eventually your body will become so exhausted that you will go to sleep!. the problem with insomnia is that you interfere with how your brain works and processes things!. i guess you can kind of relate it to your computer!.!.!.how when you don't turn it off for days at a time, how slow and sluggish it gets!. as soon as you do a restart, it's acting brand new again!. i think you should definitely see a doctor, there might be some underlying problem like problems at home, stress, etc!. taking over the counter drugs can work at first, but there are often times that people can become dependent on them to sleep!. since you're suffering from insomnia, you will probably get so used to sleeping by taking meds, that you will no longer be able to sleep without them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
