Question: How much are blood glucose meters!?
and can u tell me the meter name and price!? and can u get them @ rite aid!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
you can actually get them for free if you feel like waiting for them to come in the mail!. if you go onto the BAYER website or ONE TOUCH glucose meter website, you can have them send you one for FREE!.

if you dont feel like waiting for one and want to go buy one then they run anywhere from about $40 - $100 depending on wich one you get!.

the Bayer Acensia Contour is a GREAT meter!. it takes the smallest amount of blood and it has no coding, wich can be confusing sometimes!. its the one that i personally useWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your best bet is to go to Walmart, as they can usually beat everyone else's price!. Yes, you will need to buy extra strips, lancets and alcohol swabs!. The pharmacy tech will help you get everything you need!. Have you been diagnosed with diabetes!?!? If so, your doctor should have written you a prescription and it should save you some money!.

(Rite Aid is usually one of the higher priced pharmacies - or it is where I live!.)

Happy testing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get them at Rite Aid (pretty much any pharmacy)!. Go to their web site and see if they have any specials!. You also might want to go to the meter web sites and see if they have any special coupon offers!. A lot of times you can get a free meter because the companies make a killing on the test strips!.

try registering at diabetesshoppe!.com I got a bunch of information from them including coupons for meters!. Also, you can contact the meter companies!. They may let you know about "special deals!." One Touch, Accu-Chek, LifeScan, and Free Style are all brands!. I think Wal-Mart has their own house brand, too!. At the store, read over the boxes and see if any of them have a rebate offer!.

Strips and lancets are separate!. Depending on your lancing device, you may be able to get generic lancets!. Strips are insanely expensive!.

****If your insurace covers test strips, find out what they prefer to cover!. It will make buying the strips less painful!. Also, find out if your insurance provides a meter!. Mine has a special deal with the companies and I can get a new one every few years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
