Question: Allergec to benzoy peroxide or not!?
I used proactive last year for 4 months and it was doing great!. But then all of a sudden I applied the cream to the cheek under my eye where I had some acne and I got a really bad rash, itch and it got puffy!. I took benadryl and stop taking it and it went away in 2 days!.I am guessing it had something to do with the benzoyl peroxide but not positive!. So today, over a year after I used proactive, I went out and bought some persa-gel 10 clean&clear 10% benzoyl peroxide cream and applied a tab of it on a pimple on my chin about 1 hour ago!. The pimple has decreased in both size and redness right away and I am not feeling any irration or redness!. Do you think it is ok to keep using this in small dosages!? Or will I have a reaction from the earlier dosage later today!? When the rash and itchyness started with the proactive cream which main ingerediant was benzoyl peroxide, it only appeared on both cheeks right under my eye!. Same thing happened to me used it for a while then I got a reaction out of the blue!.Now I only dab onto pimple I don't rub it in or all over face!.Used sparingly and you shouldn't get a reaction!.cheersWww@Answer-Health@Com
toss it out, use Benedryl for a few days as directed, and follow up with your dermatologist!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
