How do I get rid of mold?!

Question: How do I get rid of mold!?
I have mold in my air conditioner duct!. Whenever the air conditioner is on we start coughing, sneezing, itchy throat, etc!. I have small kids in the house and they are also experiencing the same symptoms as I am!. The people I rent the house from is giving me a hard time about someone coming out to fix this problem!. It's very hot here in Georgia and I can't even burn my A!.C!. in fear of what is happening!. I have heard clorox kills mold but not sure if this is true!. Do anyone have any suggestions how I can get rid of the mold myself!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I wouldn't try to remove this by yourself!. If you end up damaging the home, you could be liable for it!. Contact the people you rent from again in writing and inform them of the problem!. Be sure you keep a record of all communication concerning this problem!.

Check your renter's agreement to see what it says concerning repairs and your legal standing as far as getting out of your rental agreement if the ac is not fixed!.

If your landlord still gives you the run around then I would report him to the Health Department (you might want to call them and ask for advice on the issue and copy them in your correspondence!.!.!.!. if the landlord sees that on the bottom of the letter, he may be more quick to respond)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am allergic to mold so I know what you are feeling!. Bleach does kill it, but since you have run your air that means the spores are in the all the ducts in you house now!. I would say just keep complainig to your landlord to have someone come clean your ducks!. If that doesnt work just take the money it will cost out of your rent and they cant really say anything to you about it because it is their house and you payed for something they should have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Temporarily spray the ducts from the AC with clorox!. This will help stop your problems!. Maybe saturate a non fabric pad with clorox and put it where the AC blows through it into the ducts!?!? and more where it comes out into the rooms!?

To make the landlords fix the problem, go to the health department!. This will not make you very popular with the landlord, but with small children, you are very correct to be concerned!.

Mold can cause lifelong lung problems!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call your local health department, they will take care of the landlord!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
