Question: Question about cat allergies!.!.!?
So I really love cats but I'm allergic to them(I know bummer) my friend used to have a cat and the cage they kept him in was still in the house and when I stood right next to it and when I walked away I formed a rash around my face!. It didn't itch as much as I thought it would, but it was still a little itchy!. Do you think if I bought a cat that my allergies will slowly become more immune or will it perhaps be more worse if I keep one!? yeah thanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

well, I was highly allergic to cats when I was younger, my eyes would swell shut and I would have rashes and a horrible time breathing (most of time had to go to the ER for it), but little cats would wander in our yard and we would take them in and from being around them, I became immune!. I still wash my hands after being around them and depending how much fur is on me, I even change my shirt!. I mean it depends on what happens to you when you have a reaction and the degree to which you are allergic!. Sometimes though depending what it is, like cats, avoiding it and then coming into contact with it all of a sudden can be worse than gradually being exposed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Nope, it's a hypersensitivity you have to cats and thats the way it will stay!. If you want one, make sure you have antihistamines close by!. I love cats, unfortunatley I get a rash across my face from them also!. You could always get the hairless cats, and they feel like velvet, if you like that stuff!.!.!.!. any way good luck with the cat thingWww@Answer-Health@Com
well - it has worked for me - but very slowly ! Dont expect your allergy to disappear over night !
(It is the spit on their fur that gives us a reaction!)
The trick is to not snuffle them too much !

You could try, but then if it doesnt work I hope you dont get rid of the cat!. The doc can give you medications to relieve any kind of allergies!. Even if you own a cat!. Choose wiselyWww@Answer-Health@Com
