Answers:
You sure can, I use my daughter's meter to take my sugar sometimes!.

As your other responder says, you just have to have a way to keep the readings seperate!. My daughter is a type 1, so I take her sugar readings a number of times per day!. When I use her meter, I just mark my reading as "other" so there's no confusion!.

--edit--

I don't know if you can transmit blood bourne infections by sharing!. I would say not, because I know my daughter's doctors office has a meter they use on patients!. But I don't know if or how they disinfect it between uses!. To be safe, don't let anyone use your meter unless you know it's safe!.

If there's any question, just get another meter!. You can usually get a meter for free with coupons and/or rebates!. I have a bunch of extra meters!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as the needle is changed each time you use it, you will not transmit any disease!. You could each just use a different lancet device!. But if your meter is one that keeps records of different things, that will be totally inaccurate!. You will have to keep separate records on a notebook!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For sure you can!!! just have your separate lancet devices so you don't have to always be checking to see if the other changed the lancet when she checked her glucose number!.

Also have separate glucose diaries to record your numbers!.

You will both need your Rx's for the strips so you will have enough of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont share the lancets, other than that its fine!. and if the meter keeps records of each reading, make sure it doesnt "remember" your reading and mess up your mum's numbers when she either takes it with her to the doctors office or jots them down!.lWww@Answer-Health@Com

hi you
you have no problem there it is fine to share the one meter with other people in fact it is done in most hospitals but you done use the one needlesWww@Answer-Health@Com

That should be fine!. The only problem is that most machines store your blood sugars for you, so make sure you both are keeping a written log of your blood sugars!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sure, just make sure you each use your own lancet device to avoid passing any blood-borne stuff to each other!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes u can can!. just keep trak of ur readings!. because the meters keep a record of all sugars tested!. As long as u are just sharing the machine it's fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
