Answers:
Pneumonia is a condition caused by infection!. Like meningitis, this condition can be caused by a number of different microbes and can be transmitted from human to human!. Streptococcus pneumoniae is one of the most common causes of community acquired pneumonia, it is transmitted between people in the community through aspiration and droplets (coughing ans sneezing)!. Technically the cause of the infection can be transmitted from human to animal, causing pneumonia; however, this usually requires a mutation and would not occur easily or commonly!. This transmission can be seen in the evolution of the influenza virus (a possible cause of pneumonia), from birds to humans!. However, I would not worry about transmitting an infection from you to your dog or from the dog to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No pneumonia is not contagious, it is basically fluid build up in your lungs this is usually caused by some sort of respritory infection, but also can be caused from inhaling something, ie!. water, a bug, which then could cause an infection in your lung!. Usually once you get pneumonia you are suseptible to get it next time you get a respritory infection!. And, no you cannot transfer it from or to an animal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
