Can Lyme disease cause pain in ribs while breathing in deeply?!
Question: Can Lyme disease cause pain in ribs while breathing in deeply!?
Answers:
No but Pleurisy can, it is an infection of the Plural sack around the longs and feels like your being stabbed under the ribs everytime you try to take a deep breath especially when you lay down, and it last a long time without treatment!. But it is easily treatable, just go to a Dr!.
Oh you didn't say how long it has been going on, if it is a long time I would say pleurisy if it is just a few minutes when it happens, that is probably gas!. When I get gass bubbles up under my rib cage it stabs like the pleurisy did, but goes away after a few minutes with some waste bends and stretching to move on the bubbles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

John, though I'm no doctor, I am a professional troubleshooter
(electronic) who has HAD rib pain that WAS due to late-stage Lyme!.!.!.
and it NEVER got worse when I breathed in!.
Always present, at an annoying level, in one spot!.
On the other hand, I HAVE had pain/discomfort when breathing in deep which WASN'T Lyme-related, but simply from a leftover lower congestion from a bug i picked up!. (This was years ago!.)
It resoved itself fine!. You can Also get this effect if you've injured your chest some!.!.!. even during sleep! Both these [non-Lyme] issues should resolve over a few days!. Breathe some Eucalyptus vapors, if congestion-related!. And a hot tub soak helps with both conditions I mentioned!. (Even helped with the neuro-Lyme pains!)
But if the pain gets worse, even when not breathing deep, or it "migrates" to different areas & you start to feel run down all the time, THAT's when you MIGHT possibly be talking about Lyme disease!. (Did U get bit by a DEER tick!?) Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Rib pain like you describe can be a symptom of bartonella (another tick-borne infection that often accompanies Lyme!.) Although it could be other things as well!.
Good sources of info about Lyme disease and other tick-borne infections (even the ones with Lyme in the name also have info about co-infections such as bartonella!.)
