Question: HELP!! why do u need to test for HIV!?
Since you can not do anything about it, why should u test it!.
I am worry about having HIV, but I am not sure if I want to test it!.
I would die it if I know, I have it for sure

Testing for HIV is very important for several reasons:
1!. Many infections occur because someone who does not know they are infected passes it to someone else!. Knowing your status can help you prevent other people from being infected by you!.
2!. Finding out you are HIV+ very soon after infection can enable you to get the medical monitoring and medical treatment you need to live healthier, longer!. People with HIV are living longer, healthier than they could before due to improvements in treatments!.
3!. Finding out you are HIV negative can help you by enabling you to take steps to avoid being infected in the future!.
*** However, avoiding getting HIV is best, because the treatments do have side effects, and there is no cure for HIV at this point, mostly due to the fact that the virus is constantly mutating (changing)!.
Fear prevents some people from being tested, and it motivates others!. Talk with a counselor or someone you trust about your feelings regarding getting the test results, THEN get tested!. HIV testing is confidential!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

HIV is contagious, so at the very least, you need to know if you have it so you aren't spreading it around to other people!. If you do have it, there are medications you can take to manage the disease!. People are living longer now with HIV than they used to and early detection is important to get the best result!. You should get tested so that you can get medication if you're positive!.!.!.the meds are really expansive, but you know what, people die of a lot of things, don't worry and don't be scared!. I was just as scared as you are, but now I'm finally ready to get tested!.
Its possible to not have symptoms, you'll never know unless you get tested!. You could carry HIV for 10 years without any symptoms, and it could be really painful when you leave it untreated!.

My friend got sick one day!. Less than 3 months later he was dead!. AIDS!.
If he had gone back for the follow-up test 12 years ago he would still be with me!.
If you don't care enough about yourself to get tested then at least think about the people that are going to hurt for years after you die!.
You CAN do something about it!. Get tested and if you are positive get on your meds!. You can live a long, long time!.

Not knowing doesn't help so getting tested is important!. First of all you need to know so that you can protect any partner that you may have sex with!. Second!.!.!.there are newer and better treatments available if you are diagnosed early!. Contact your local planned parenthood and find out where you can get tested!.
