Can doctors give you anything to help bad viral infections?!
Question: Can doctors give you anything to help bad viral infections!?
Aside from all the antibiotics out there, what if you have a very bad viral infection of the chest, throat, etc, causing lots of mucus, ill health, breathing difficulties, etc,
basically there's NOTHING on the market that they can give you that can at least help with that!?
So you either hope your body fights the infection off or you die!?
It's sad that in 2008, we still don't have any effective treatments for viruses!. It's really sad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only rememdies I know for respitory viral infections is breathing treatments and suctioning if there is a lot of mucus involved!. There are meds to help you feel better, in that they mask the virus, but they dont treat the virus!. Viruses have to runtheir course!.
EDIT: my daughter caught RSV (a respitory virus) in Dec!. 2007!. It went on the attack!. She was actually placed on the ventilator Christmas Eve!. She received breathing treatments, steroids to help her lungs, maintenance fluids via IV, and sedation medicine!. None of which helped the virus itself and yes she could have died!. Babies have died from RSV!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
