India has a lot more diseased individuals and a lot of the diseases that are not as prevalent in the US!. Thousands and thousands of people die from tuberculosis every year in India, while the disease has been relatively well controlled in this country!. Small pox, polio, parasitic infections, AIDS +HIV, all these are worse in India!. Most Indian medical students do well in med school in the US!. I think this is because they work harder and they realize that they must succeed or they will go back to a country where conditions are a lot less sanitary!. I'm not saying that Indians are dirty, just that many of the sanitary practices utilized in this country to limit the spread of disease are not practiced as much over there!. I personally have never been in an Indian hospital!.
I think Americans are falling behind in sciences quite frankly, because I think more and more students see other far easier ways to make a lot more money than in scientific careers!. So yes, I think Americans are money whores!. Countries with UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE have better life expectancies and are less driven by money!. (yes I said it so I must be a socialist, commi, democracy hating liberal)!. That is correct!.
Please excuse me for getting off topic!. I think US medical technologies are far more advanced with the exception of some things that are not FDA approved, but work that might be practiced in India!. If I had to choose between the Mayo clinic and an upper level Indian hospital, I think the difference would be relatively small!. However, choosing between a local hospital here and a small rural hospital in India, I would choose the community hospital here!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The united states hospitals only care about profits!.!. not the people!. so if you cant pay $10,000 to fix your broken leg, then you dont get it fixed!. or you do get it fixed, and then you get this HUGE hospital bill!.!.!. then some people may lose their houses and possesions because of the stupid hospital bill!.
