Smelly Belly Button Discharge! Not infected -- HELP?!

Question: Smelly Belly Button Discharge! Not infected -- HELP!?
Okay so!.!. this happens once in a while, like 1-4 times a year!.
It began 2years ago by me smelling a stinky disgusting smell
and i benty over & smelled my shirt and it smelled rly bad!.
Then i checked my bellybutton and it was all crusty,
but it was not irritated or itchy or anything!. I cleaned it up
and it came back the same day, a clear fluid
thats smells terrible!. So i cleaned it up again
and i had to keep cleaning it for abt 4 times and then it stopped!.

That happens every year Usually once or twice, and i never know when it will happen
it just discharges, and i know its not infected because
its not red, and the fluid is clear!.!.!.
But Im worried, and it smells bad, but i take care of my self
i have good hygene, love smelling good but!.!.!.
This freaking problem is annoying me!.!.!.
Should I see a doctor !? Whats going on!?

Is this normal!? has anyone ever had this problem!?
AGAIN,
IT DOESNT ITCH and isnt irritated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Sometimes when belly buttons are "innies" they collect fluid from bathing and sweathing and eventually that stuff just starts to get smelly!. Because certain belly buttons trap the stuff and enough water doesn't flush it out, the area can smell horrible, despite good hygiene elsewhere!. If you think about it, our belly button area never gets dried out completely, either, so between the lack of water completely cleaning out the area and fluid becoming trapped and creating a place for bacteria to grow, it is no wonder it starts to stink!.

Like you, I smelled something uuucky and was stunned to find out the offending party was me! Fortunately, I have several doctors in the family and had someone to ask about this gross problem!.

This problem is easy enough to correct, but depending upon your anatomy, it may be easier for some to correct than others!. If you will take a Q-Tip and use some hydrogen peroxide to clean out the area and with another Q-Tip put a dab of Neosporin it should help heal up the crustiness!. If you do this a couple of times a day, you should see an improvement soon!. Also, when you bathe, if you will dry out the area, and in fact, if you have a deep belly button, you can take your blow drier and hit the area to dry up any lingering liquid!. Or you can use a Q-Tip and dry the area out, or if that doesn't work, use a little rubbing alcohol which will definitely dry the area out!. Anyway, find what works for you to keep the area clean and dry and provide less opportunity for bacteria to grow!.

The good news is the embarassing odor should go away quickly if you treat this and you need never suffer from this again if you make sure to keep your tummy button clean and dry!.

If self-treatment doesn't clear this up, of course, follow up with a call to your doctor!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
