My son took DOXYCYCLINE DELAYED which I would assume is about the same thing!. He was told to take it on an empty stomach but it made him nauseated and he would have more frequent headaches!. It really did clear up his skin well!. It also made him very very sensitive to the sunlight and he seemed to burn faster than usual!.

Within the first week we started noticing his skin clearing up!. He loved it!!!

you know that any unnecessary use or overuse of any antibiotic can lead to its decreased effectiveness!. So be careful!

I take Doxycycline also!. It is prescribed for my periodontal disease!. It kills the bacteria in my mouth!. It is a low-dose antibiotic, and therefore is not harmful if taken for as long as needed!. It has helped my gum disease!. I am not a doctor, just relating what my doctor told me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've taken a lot of antibiotics for my acne in the past, I cant remember all of them, but I've prbly tried this!. What I've found in using them is they help the swelling and redness go down!. Eventually, for me, they usually stopped working after a little while, and my doc had to put me onto an even stronger one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Warrior,
I take Doxycyclene for mild adult acne too!. It works great but you need to take it with food or it WILL MAKE YOU VOMIT ! lol ;o)!. It's also used for periodontal disease and other skin infections!. Also you need to wear a good sunscreen if outside in direct sunlight, it can cause you to get a extremely bad sunburn which can cause skin damage!.
Good Luck ;o)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you can but be a little careful about how long you spend in the sun and it can make you feel lightly nauseous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
