Answers:
MS is not considered a fatal disease!. Before the MS medications, MS-patients overall had a somewhat shorter life-expectancy!. With the new medication, the life-expextancy of an MS-patient is considered the same as the general population, plus there are less disabilities!.

MS is an individual disease, so no-one can say how long you can live without treatment!. You could live to 64 or you could live to 82 and not be needing the crutches!.

If you have relapsing-remitting MS, a top-priority for you must be to look into how to get treatment!. In many countries treatment is free or covered by your health-insurance!. Go to the MS group in your country and have them help you find options on how to get treatment!. It's best to get started as early as possible with treatment!. If you respond well to the medication available, treatment will lower the number of attacks and the severity of them!.

Life with MS is not so bleak as the general knowledge about MS seem to indicate!. I have lost count of the number of people who believed my diagnosis was a death-sentence!. It is not!. Far from it!. The problem with MS is that it's often an invisible disease!. For example, none of my neighbours or non-close friends know that I have MS, because my symptoms are not visible!. It is like this with thousands of MS sufferers, so the ones people tend to notice and the ones the media focus on are often the very worst case scenarios!.

I tend to look at it this way!. MS is like a sword hanging over our heads, we don't know when it will fall or even if it will fall or how severe the damage will be!. On the other hand, everyone is living with a sword over their heads!. There is no guarantee that you won't get hit by a bus, fall down a ladder or slip on a wet floor - and while it is healthy to come to terms with the worst case scenario, then there is to me little point in worrying about the "what ifs"!?

Did you get your first MS-attack right after your daughter's birth!? This is not uncommon!. Pregnancy seems to protect from attacks, but then they can occur post-pregnancy!. If you've been like this for a week, you might still be able to recover either partially or completely!. I lost most of the strength in my right arm after an attack, but it gradually came back to the point where I no longer notice any weakness!.
Since your attack is this bad, you should look into getting treatment to speed up your body's healing process!. It will not be as expensive as the MS meds!.

As newly diagnosed, please don't be frightened by all the people thinking you're on the brink of death!. Half of them probably don't really know what MS is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I took care of a really good friend who had MS!. She had been diagnosed shortly after having her second child!. She maintained for years!.!. yes, weakness, etc!. When I met her she was 4o years old!. She became wheelchair bound and could no longer walk!. However, she knew of others with MS and they went into remission!. There are many testimonies of how people overcame MS!. In my friend's case, she did not!. But there are many celebs who have it!.!. You might want to research them!.!.!. i!.e!. Montel Williams, Richard Pryor, Lola Falana, Annette Funicello (sp!?)!. MS is not a death sentence by any means!. We all die of something!. If you can't afford treatments then research the MS Society and see what help you can find there!. Also, have another friend with it and she is still working, although, going through treatments!. My best to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

And I dont know about the other one, he use to work at a stresful job and well, now he don't he does other work!.!. I'd say get help from your county if you can't afford medication!.!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
