Wishful thinking is not an option in DIABETES> Just keep what you are doing!. You are not trying to beat diabetes, you are trying to prevent complications !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it's possible for diabetes to slowly diminish after the years with proper diet and better health!. Rare, but it happens!.
Glad you're doing your regular check-ups!.
Best of luck :)

p!.s!. For the poster under me, I have good news for you!. You will not turn non-diabetic from diabetic, but you may be encouraged by doctors to improve your health by eating right and getting in shape as he may take you off your pills/meds!.

Enjoy life and don't let it control you :) (4 diabetics in the family)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unfortunately, there is no cure for Diabetes, although some people have cleared their type 2 diabetes by having a gastric bypass or lost enough weight to have their pancreas produce the correct amount of insulin!. You might be able to discontinue using medformin if you gain more control over your diabetes and even out the amount of insulin being produced by your pancreas and liver!. The medication you're taking now is slowing down the amount of insulin that is being released from your liver which is glucagon and it will focus more on the insulin already in the blood!. Have you ever considered or heard of insulin pump therapy!? There's an insulin pump that works a lot better than self-injections!. See medtronic!.com for more info!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What!? You're not making much sense!.

I am assuming that your doctor was referring to the level of your hemoglobin A1C test!. If it was 6!.0 or below, then your body is functioning as if you were a person with out diabetes!. Remember, though, that you're NOT!. Diabetes doesn't go away, even when it's well controlled, like yours is now!.

I hope that you continue to take care of yourself and can get off the meds safely!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
