All foot fungi need a moist, dark environment to flourish!. If Clotrimazole is what works for him, that is the active ingredient in the OTC medicine Lotrimin!. You can get it at any pharmacy, and it is available in generic form!. It is important to keep his feet as clean an dry as possible!. Lotrimin also has a powder form that may be more effective than the cream, if his feet sweat excessively!. (I don't know if there is generic available in the powder) A good foot powder will help if he chooses to use the cream, but make sure it does not contain cornstarch!. (I have found that cornstarch makes fungi infections worse) Cotton socks, or better yet, lightweight hiking socks will help pull the moisture away from his skin!. If possible, he should wash and thoroughly dry his feet and change his socks in the middle of the day!. When ever possible, go barefoot or wear flip flops or sandals!. If he can expose his bare feet to sunlight for about 15 minutes a day, that will also help!. The medication will help, but removing the dark and moisture for as much as possible is the key to getting rid of the infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Buy you boyfriend some antiperspirant deodorant, I don't recommend the spray because of the alcohol content!. It will burn!. Use either a roll-on or one of the solids!.
Have him wash his feet in an anti-bacterial soap!. Pat dry, don't forget to dry between the toes, very important!.
Apply the antiperspirant deodorant to the entire foot and between the toes, let it dry!. Dust feet with baby powder or corn starch!. Now he can put on his socks and shoes!. He needs to avoid wearing tennis shoes or sneakers until his feet get well!. This is one of my all time cures for skin infections that do not respond to typical medications!.
He needs to do this twice a day, once in the morning and once before he goes to bed at night!.
If he showers or swims or anything that will get his feet wet, he'll need to reapply, but he needs to always wash in anti-bacterial soap!. I buy it in big bottles at Walgreen's and at WaL Mart!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's pretty sick, but urine is a cheap easy way of getting rid or at least most athletes foot!. Tell him to stand in the shower, then tell him to whiz on his feet!. Then just let it soak for a minute or two before rinsing it off!. Just have him do that when he showers and it should at least improve some!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
