What two blood types combined would give someone an O+ blood type if one parent !

Question: What two blood types combined would give someone an O+ blood type if one parent is A+!?
Answers:
Since the gene for O is recessive, any person who is type A or B can carry the gene for O!. A person who is type AB cannot carry the O gene because the gene for A and B are co-dominant (which is what causes type AB) because there are only two genes for blood type!. Two A people or two B people can have an O child if they both carry the gene for O!. An A person and a B person together can have a child with any combination of of A or B, even O if they both carry the O gene!. There is no blood test to determine if anyone carries the O gene, but paternity tests do test for other markers that determine who might or might not be the father of any given child!. Rh is inherited separately from the ABO group, and is not as completely understood, except that Rh-negative seems to be recessive, also!.

To answer your question with a short answer: Each parent must carry one gene for type O to have a child with type O!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Think of it this way - everyone has 2 genes for blood type - one from their father, one from their mother!. The O gene is 'invisible' or recessive, so someone with A blood can be AA or AO!. If they are AO they can pass either the A or the O to their child!.

If the other parent is OO or AO or BO, they can also pass on an O gene!. And that makes a kid with OO which shows up as O cause you have to have 2 Os for it to show that way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What!?
If the Father is O+, the baby is always O+!.
Or at least that is what they taught in biology in the high school I went to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

None!.
Both parents need to be O!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
