When looking at an ekg pqrst wave whats the difference between a normal heart ra!

Question: When looking at an ekg pqrst wave whats the difference between a normal heart rate and and abnormal!?
can you describe both of them to meWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Interval between two consecutive QRS complexes will be shorter when the heart rate is fast and longer when the heart rate is slow!. In conventional EKG, the recording is done at a paper speed of 25 mm / sec!. So it runs 1500 mm in a minute!. If you measure the interval between two consecutive QRS complexes in mm (count the number of small squares between the two) and divide 1500 by that, you get the heart rate in beats per minute!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure what you mean by a 'normal/abnormal heart rate'!? Are you referring to the different cardiac conditions that might be present depending on the rhythm!?

That covers a lot of ground and would be too complex to cover here!. Widipedia!.org does a wonderful job of interpreting EKG strips that you might find helpful!. The link is listed below!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Normal heart rate is generally considered to be between 60 and 100 beat per minute while while a persone is awake and not stressed!. On an ecg, this would correlate to a distance across of between 3 large boxes and 5 large boxes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
