My daughter is like you and shots!. But you are probably going in for an AC1 blood test to check your sugar level!. The lab tech will take 1 or 2 small viles of blood!. Just look at something across the room and relax!. The blood drawing isn't bad and if you are diabetic it will have to be done every 3 or 6 months!. First of all!. it is not a shot!. It is called venipuncture if they are going to check your blood!. It helps to have a good phlebotomist to draw the blood!. If they anchor the vein properly, you shouldn't feel a thing!. That is if you have good veins!. Drink plenty of water before you go if you don't have to be fasting!. Just look away and take in a deep breath when she sticks the needle in and then breath out slowly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
