Well first, you better put a tarp down so you don't mess up the carpet!.
You'll have to go in through the abdomen, dig through some intestines, and then through the peritoneum to get to the back side, where the kidney is!. You'll need some way to stop the blood flow to and from your kidney, and you'll want to tie off the ureter also!. This can be done with permanent sutures and some hemostats!. Do not put the kidney on ice! Refridgerate it or hand it off immediately!.
