Severe sunburn? Please help!!!?!

Question: Severe sunburn!? Please help!!!!?
I spent 3 hours this past weekend in the sun and got sunburned!. The first night I was extremely red and had really bad chills!. I woke up every 40 minutes until I finally took a cold bath and then the chills stopped!. The second day was better, I noticed that blisters had formed primarily on my shoulders and there are a couple on my chest and back!. The blisters are very small (biggest one = 1/3 - 1/2 inch) but there are quite a few on my shoulders!. Tylenol is working for the pain and I WAS using Ocean Potion Aloe Vera until I read on the back label that you aren't supposed to use it on blisterd skin!. Is this true for all aloe vera creams!? My lower arms and hands are red but the color is starting to fade and they are blister free!. The tops of my breasts got sunburned too (also blister free) but, they are swollen in the burnt area!. Is this normal!? Has anyone else had an experience like this and how long did it take for the blisters to heal!? I have learned my lesson!. Sunscreen from now on!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's all totally normal!. I have lighter skin like normal to pale and my skin gets swolen when I get bad sunbun too!. Look for a creme containing aloe good for blisters!. They do make them I forget what I used last year, or ask the pharmisist at your local drugstore!. The swelling usually lasts for a few days unfortunately, just keep applying the cremes, the blister too!.

Wear spf 30 untill you get a tan then start wearing 15, 8, 4 for best tanning results!!! Also, after you get out of the sun put on a lot of moisturizing lotions so you skin will hold the tan!.

Good luck with the sun burn you will hurt for a few days :(Www@Answer-Health@Com

The blisters will take several days to a week!. You may have the sunburn lines for years!. You can soothe the skin with tea tree oil or lay moist tea bags on it!. I got severely burned as a teenager and had some blisters that were half-inch high and 2" around!. I was in pain for days, and still had the lines from that bathing suit three years later!. Swelling is normal, your body is trying to heal!. You can also soak in cool baths with Epsom salts from the drugstore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will go away by itself!. You will have some major peeling on your skin in a few days, just use a scrubby pad or something like that to slough off the dead skin!. You can relax though--the worst is over--at least until your 40 and all your skin damage begins to show up!. As for the sunscreen, avoid chemical based ones as research is beginning to show that they may actually make sun damage worse!. Try a mineral based one that doesn't absorb into the skin!. You can find them at a natural food store or target!. Burt's Bees has a good one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
