Question: Trying to figure out what this rash is!? *photos*!?
My 8 year old daughter hasn't been feeling well since yesterday morning!. It started with a fever (102 F, 39 C) and sore throat!.
She had a fever off and on last night and didn't get much sleep!.
Today I checked her throat and it is bright raw red, swollen tonsils, with large white pus pockets!. It hurts her to swallow or eat anything!. And she has a big headache!.
Also today I noticed she started getting a rash!. It is mostly located under the arms, in the leg folds, on the belly down to the groin!. She says it itches a lot!.

I'm thinking this is probably Scarlet Fever!. She is going to the doctor in 2 hours!. What do you think it looks like!? I'm just really worried! Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with the scarlet fever idea!. I am glad you are taking her to the Dr!., she will need to be seen and hopefully he can help you with any meds that can help with discomfort!.
If she is really itchy, I would have her sit in a cool bath and sprinkle baking soda in the water, it helps take out the itch!. There is also an oatmeal bath that AVEENO makes that I have heard works nice for kids with chicken pox because it takes some of the itch out!. I personally have used the baking soda and also used regular oatmeal in the bathub on my kids, just make sure before you drain the bath water that you use a strainer on the floating oatmeal!.

It doesn't really look like the rash in scarlet fever - that tends to be more widespread and like a lot of dots!.
These seems (from the pictures, so I could be wrong) more splotchy - almost like a reaction to something - irritation, medication, etc!.!.!. The stomach one in particular looks like a contact dermatitis!.
However, with the sore throat it could be scarlet fever!. It is good that you are taking her to the doctor!. Let us know what she says!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

check her lymph nodes in her neck and under her amp pits sounds to me like she has mono! my two daughters and i both had it and we had all the same symptoms she has! but to be on the safe side take her to the DoctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, it looks like Scarlet Fever!. That usually comes on after a bad sore throat!. Hope she feels better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
