Question: What is the normal range for checking for Diabetes, and how long between checks!?
Answers:
You mean how often should you be checked for it!? Most doctors would like to screen for it at each annual physical, but since most people don't get physicals much anymore, it can go undiagnosed for years!. Are you at risk!? Family history of it, or are you overweight or obese!? If so, I would recommend asking your doc to test for it every 6 months or so!. You would see your numbers creep up in that period of time, but it's not excessive!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am currently trying to encourage everyone to get an annual physical with blood analysis so maybe we can catch some of these things before they do huge damage to our systems!.

For most of us, annual is enough! For some we need every 6 months blood analysis!.

Several years ago I took my son to the doctor for his "football" physical! The doctor weighed him, measured him, looked at his eyes and ears and pronounced him fit to play highschool football!. Cost me $50 for this non physical!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to ask your Dr what your target range should be and how often you need to be checking your blood sugar!.!.!.!.it will depend on what type of diabetes you have, do you use insulin, do you take oral medications, how are your blood sugars been running!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on if you have symptoms or at risk because it runs in the fam!. If it is just a concern without the stuff I mentioned before then tell your doc your concerns and see what they say!. If it runs in your fam then once a year if you are having symptoms then right away!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

fasting it should be below 124 or less and two hours after meals your glucose should be automatically lowering and settle @or around 124Www@Answer-Health@Com
