Answers:
It probably won't make much difference!.!.!.no!. Tetracycline and Doxycycline are VERY similar antibiotics, so one will not likely have any advantage over the other, although doxycycline DOES have a synthetic component that may help!. They both cover the same spectrum as far as the offending bacteria that are usually the cause of acne!.

You might consider switching to an entirely DIFFERENT antibiotic (like Amoxil) or ADDING a topical agent to help (Like Differin or Clindamycin Gel)!. Talk to your doctor about this!.

Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont know how old you are, but I was told that Doxycycline was given more often for a broad based anti biotic which clears up a wide range of things including acne!.
I used to take tetracycline and it was good, but I became pregnant while I was on it and my child had a minor bone deformity!. Also her milk teeth were stained!. I had actually stopped taking them when I got pregnant but they are in your system for about a month after!. I read some information on the drug and it is a known side effect!.
Sometimes, the doctors do things for the right reasons!.
Try putting sudocreme on bad areas at night!. I know it is nappy creme but it does really work wonders!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
