Is Spine surgury dangerous/painful?!
Question: Is Spine surgury dangerous/painful!?
I have a growth on my spine (lower) and its messing up my nerves and my legs and it can get to the point where it messes with my bladder so im getting back sugery soon to remove it!.!.!.they have to cut like my spinal cord partly(or something called the spinal sac idk) to get to it!.!.!.is this painful or dangerous!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thank goodness you are getting the surgery you need to correct this problem!. With any surgery there is going to be discomfort and some pain!. With good Doctors you will be fine!. Please call their office and ask them to talk to you about this procedure and to make you aware of what you should expect!. You will be fine and back on the road to recovery in no time!. It shouldn't be all that dangerous!. I'm sure the doctor could discuss that with you further!. As for painful, I guess that would depend on your pain tolerance!. I had a spinal fusion (where they fuse verterbrae together) when I was about 8 because I developed scoliosis, and a rod surgery when I was 14 because I had developed kyphosis (I started curving forward and all of my organs were being pushed under my rib cage and crushing my heart and my lungs)!. I know when I had both surgeries the doctors told me that the recovery period was expected to be about 6 to 8 weeks, but I recovered in about 4 both times!. But my doctors also encouraged me to do as much as I could, as fast as I could because he said that would help the recovery progress better!. But that just depends on you!. You have to remember though that if it's giving you fits now then it might be better to access the situation now rather than wait until it gets too bad!. And also remember that if the surgery is a success then the pain should only be temporary and it will possibly be under control with medicine, and as soon as you can do things again!. ive had back surgurey!. hope for a while someone can help you around!. before i couldnt sit or walk!. i can do it now!.i solmetimes have some lower back pain!. but i had to have this done otherwise !. where would i be!. in bed eating!. weighing 780lb!. i dont know about the weight!.take care andgood luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
