Answers:
Chills are called "Rigor" and it occurs because cytokines and prostaglandins are released as part of an immunity response to the increased set point for body temperature (98!.6)!.
The increased set point causes the body temperature to rise, but also makes the person feel cold until the new set point is reached!. Chills occur because the person is effectively shivering in a physiological attempt to increase body temperature to the new set point!.

So basically, ur body gets the chills in an attempt to lower ur body temp back down to what it should be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

With a fever, shivering is the body's way of normalizing itself after an insult!. If you had a fever, even a mild one, there was a reason for it!. It could be something simple or a warning sign of something more!. If it recurs, see your Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you have a fever your body tells your brain to make it hotter!. Shivering produces heat so your brain makes your body feel cooler so it will shiverWww@Answer-Health@Com
