Question: Can leaving a Fan on cause a cold!? Sore Throaght!?
I left my fan on all night cause I was hot and when i woke up I had a sore throaght and body aches, pain in my chest and a runny nose!. I even had a headache but that went away after i took tylenol!. My Chest still hurts when I breathe in though!.
I noticed when I leave my fan on I wake up with a sore throaght but it usually goes away after awhile!. I am sticking to my central air from now on, lol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. Because a fan on can burn your throat and nasal passageways by blowing dust and constant air flow past your way!. Having a throat sore or sinus inflammation can leave you prone to get sick and pick up a virus becasue your immune system is working a little overtime!. Fans casue sore throat if you put them directly on you or on too fast!. I would put my fan on my body and aim it away from my face and head!. It works better that way!. You can also block the stream with your blanket in front of your face and such!. Gargling scope or listerine mouthwash helps reduce a build up of bacteria and soreness in throat in a major way!. gargle it a few times per day when you have the sore throat and drink alot of fluids and keep your throat moist with sucking candies and whatever is moist and eating ice pops reduces inflammtion of the blood vessels in the throat the first few days if you got a sore throat!. I do all this and usually prevent my sore throats when Im getting sick!. If form a fan, these methods should knock it out in two days!. stay hydrated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Leaving your fan on will not cause a cold/sore throat!. A cold is cause by airbourne viruses!.
I suppose a fan can circulate the air in your room a lot more than normal!.
Chances are you picked up the virus before going to bed!. Viruses tend to have an incubation period of (if memory serves me right) around 48 - 24 hours before showing any symptoms!.

yes you can get a cold if you leave the fan on, you shouldn't leave it on all night, only for when your hot!. i used to do that and i got sick so i went to the docters and they said you shouldn't!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
