Answers:
When you donate blood there are a series of steps you go through!. First you are asked for a picture ID, I'm not sure why that is, it just is!. Then you will fill out a confidential questionnaire!. No one but you and the nurse or technician will see this questionnaire and the nurses and techs are bound by law not to revel anything of a personal nature that would ID you to an outside source!. All the further questioning takes place inside a room away from everyone else!. At the end of the mini interview the nurse will give you two stickers!. One is to place if you have been totally honest and believe your blood is safe, the other is for if you might think or have remembered a reason your blood might not be safe!. The nurse can not tell the difference between these stickers because they look like bar codes!. Regardless of your sticker choose you will then donate your blood, You blood will be collected and tagged with your identifying bar code!.
Not all STDs exclude you from donating blood because not all STDs are transmitted by blood!.
You'll get a letter either thanking you or a letter saying you need to call a certain number!. The utmost care is taken to insure your privacy!. Keep the paper work after you donate so you'll have your identifying number if you think there maybe something wrong!. I seriously can't say how long it takes to get the letter!.
Nothing is tested right in front of you at the donation site except your iron!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
