Question: My mother is type 2!?
She almost died a couple months ago from pnemonia and now she has bronchitis!. I do not know what I am truly asking maybe someone to say dont worry it is normal she will be okay!. Prior to having bronchitis that turned into pnemonia she had a breast apsess and just last week she had an apsess on her leg!. She is always in pain and can barely move, howver she does not live in the same state as me but is coming down on friday I really want to see her but the doctor really does not want her to come down I do not know how to feel!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like her diabetes is not in good control!. The abscesses you speak of can be a sign!. And since she had pneumonia, her immunities could be low!. I think she should listen to her doctor at this time!. She could be putting herself at risk!. Maybe you should go see her instead of letting her travel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
the reason your mom is getting all the abscesses is because her blood glucose level is likely high!. she should follow her doctors instructions since she is ill and should be compliant with the recommendations her physicians made to get her well!. maybe you could travel there and see what is really going on with her!. talk to the doctor yourself!. hope everything goes okay!.

They may have been giving your mother a steriod for inflomation from the phemonia!. The steriods can can boost sugar levels!. It happened to me a couple months ago when I was in the hospital for severe ashthma!. One night they took my blood pressure and it was 200/100!. I have never had high blood pressure in my life before that!. I asked them to take my blood sugar and it was 395!. The next morning my doctor ordered an A1C test which showed I was just above the level for type 2 diabetes!. My blood sugars inventually went down when the steriods wore out, but I am now on meds for my diabetes!. So to know for sure, your mother needs to have the A1C test!. It shows the average blood sugar reading for the last 3 months!. Then she can go from there!.
