The HIV virus is a particularly tricky one!. At the moment we cant cure it!. But treatment is getting much much better!.
Considering it has really only been around since the 80's (cases were documented earlier, but rarely) we are making pretty good strides,
Currently there is research going on into why some people have a long latency period before going into symptomatic HIV!. These people carry the disease but develop symptoms after 12 years, or never!. But these people are very rare!.
I think one day we will be able to do more!. Either vaccinate or cure!. But I don't know how far off that will be, or if it will reach the 95% of AIDS cases in economically disadvantaged countries, like Africa and SE Asia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They could!. By using the new approach of slowing the immune response without hindering the power of the immune system it is possible to cure AIDS!.
