Coconut oil for a low thyroid?!

Question: Coconut oil for a low thyroid!?
Answers:
Nope!.

If properly diagnosed, low thyroid means that you are deficient in T3 and T4 levels!. It is much easier, much safer, and way more reliable to just take Synthroid or its generic, levothyroxine!. These are forms of T4 that your body will convert to T3 and use!.

I have no clue what coconut oil has to do with thyroid or T3 or T4!. And my opinion is, if coconut oil really DID raise T3/T4 levels, then somebody would isolate it, get it FDA approved, and then make a prescription drug out of it!. A drug company would make waaaaaaaay more money out of a prescription drug than a supplement (I mean billions more)!.

Low thyroid has been extensively studied!. And levothyroxine for low thyroid has been extensively studied!. It's also cheap!. It's four dollars at Wal-Mart and Target without any insurance!. Forget the coconut oil and talk to your doctor!. Make sure he looks at your TSH and thyroid levelsWww@Answer-Health@Com
