diastolic and systolic
It is the force exerted on the vessels by circulating blood
There are lots of opinions on what is normal, high low, ect!.!.
Normal blood pressure should be less than 120/85mmHg!.
Prehypertension occurs when the systolic or first number is between 120 and 139, and the diastolic or second number is between 80 and 89mmHg!. People with prehypertension are twice as likely to get hypertension as people with normal blood pressure!.
Hypertension or high blood pressure occurs in people with blood pressure readings of 140/90mmHg or higher!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think the other people who answered this did a good job!.
But since you are looking for the meaning of thease numbers I decided to respond also!. 120/80 is text book perfect blood pressure!.
Extremly Lower values would mean that for some reason (1 of a thousand) your arteries & veins are not able to hold pressure, this is important because if there is no pressure there is no Blood Circulation thus the tissues that need Oxygen and other nutrients (from the blood) are not getting them!.!.!. So with out oxygen the tissues will die!. Tissues being muscle, brain, organs etc what ever is not getting enough oxygen!.
On the other end, if the pressures are extremly high!.!.!. You would be at risk for an aneurysm!. This is where the high pressures cause a weakening in a small part of your artery and eventually the high pressure makes the weak spot burst open!. (This is Life-Threatenting)
So the numbers need to be at a happy medium!. At little too high or too low is usually not big deal due to diff!. body types ,lifestyles, and disease processes!.
Hope this helped a lil bit more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
