Does Soda Ultimately Lead To Diabetes?!

Question: Does Soda Ultimately Lead To Diabetes!?
Well, I've heard for the longest time that drinking too much soda can lead to diabetes, and while this may be true, I'm questioning rather it's just that simple!.

I read somewhere on the Internet that you can decrease your chances of getting diabetes, even if you drink a lot of caffeine, if you maintain a healthy life style by working out, etc!. They also said that just because you drink a lot of sweetened contents, doesn't ultimately mean that you're going to end up with diabetes!.

So, my question is!. Can anyone back up these proofs!.

My second question is, how come some people can drink tons of soda and never develop diabetes while others do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It is definitely in your genetics as to whether "sugar" can cause you to get diabetes!. I cannot find my reference study, guess I deleted it!. But studies show that unless you have the defective genes you will not get diabetes type 2!

another myth is that obesity causes diabetes!! So how come 51% of obese people never develop diabetes!?!?!?

Caffeine has been shown to lower glucose levels, not to raise them!! That is also one of those fuzzy studies of less than 100 persons in the test group that all got higher glucose levels when drinking caffeine drinks!.

Caffeine or hot drinks of any sort can raise blood pressure tho!!

Your second question is the one a lot of scientists and medicos are working on!! A really good question with no answer at this time!.

Diabetes is the result of multiple factors, not just soda drinking alone!. Consuming high quantities of refined sugar (which is in sodas, cakes, cookies, etc), heredity (having the gene or not), living a sedentary lifestyle (not exercising enough), obesity, and poor diet ultimately are the main factors that trigger diabetes in those who are predisposed to have it!.

You clearly can't change your heredity, but by reducing sugar content (easiest choice here is sugar containing soda), exercising more, and improving your diet are all things you can do to help reduce your chances of acquiring Type 2 Diabetes!.

That being said, some of the healthiest people I know developed diabetes from heredity alone!. There is no sure bet, but if there are things you can do to reduce the chances, why wouldn't you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm going to write this on the Internet, so you can believe it!.

Diabetes starts with a genetic tendency and it is triggered by any of several events or habits!. Consuming excess sugar is one of them!. A can of soda has something like 13 teaspoons of sugar in it!. You could switch to diet soda, or you could drink water, like 95% of the adult population of the world!.

Avoiding soda is not likely to prevent you from developing diabetes!. Drinking is is likely to increase your chances!.

If you have a family history of diabetes, you should be checked regularly!. If you do not, you should be checked semi-regularly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

eating a bad diet loaded with sugar and fat can lead to diabetes!. not excercising can lead to diabetes!. diabetes is also hereditary!. you decrease your chances of getting diabetes by eating a healthy diet, excercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy body weight!. When I got in my car accident 2 years ago they discovered that I had diabetes (pre diabetes), but because I monitor my sugars, and fat and I excercise regularly, I do not need to take insulin or medicine and am able to control through diet and excercise!. My mother and uncle both have type 2 and have had too do insulin and meds!. I still have to watch it though, because my blood sugars are always borderline and I get check ups every three months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

soda contains large amount of sugar thats why it causes diabetes!.
diabetes in inheritable!. a child can be diabetic even without eating too much sugar!. if a person have the allele/gene (either active or in-active) for being diabetic, eating too much sugar can trigger the in-active gene to be acitve thus you will have diabetes!. some people don't have the gene that controls the trait of being diabetic so even though they will take too much sugar they will hardly or never develop diabetes!. Diabetes can also be acquired even though you don't have the "diabetic gene" because it is still too much sugar, still destroys the urinary bladder and causes the diabetes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

From what I've heard, it isn't exactly sugar consumption that leads to diabetes, but the fact that excessive sugar consumption can lead to obesity!. Obesity has been linked to a greater risk of diabetes!. Other factors play in too, such as genetics!. If your sisters, brothers, Dad or Mom had diabetes, you are at a higher risk for getting it yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eventually yeah I supose!. Diabetes (type 2, which is the one which you can develop over time, not what your born with) is when the kidneys stop making insulin as there is too much sugar in the blood for too long a period, and just cant cope any longer!. If you have a diet very high in sugar then ultimatley this could lead to diabetes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First off, you must have a certain gene in order to get Diabetes!. There is definitely a genetic component!. Weight is a much bigger problem when it comes to Diabetes than the consumption of sugar!. However, if you have the genetic disposition, the consumption of too many calories and sugars can lead to Diabetes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Soda does not automatically lead to diabetes!. But it does complicate matters if you have it, and it has been linked to other problems!.

I do agree that too many sweets is a bad idea!. For me, that's a bad thing since I do have a powerful sweet tooth!Www@Answer-Health@Com

genes! over taxing your pancreas with to much sugar no matter what source is bad!. i've been dring coffee since i was 5!. i'm still between 90 and 105 when i get up in the morning!. if i didn't raid the frig at two a!.m!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no link between the amount of sugar you consume (from any source) and developing diabetes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can definetly increase your chances because of the high sugar level!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

sugar and caffeine are both bad for you, but diabetes biggest cause is obesity and heredity!. EWww@Answer-Health@Com

Na, soda leads to kidney stones!Www@Answer-Health@Com

some people are more prone to get it, it can be genetic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
