Lung damage, asthma and smoking?!

Question: Lung damage, asthma and smoking!?
I smoked on and off for about three years, the heaviest period being last year with me chain smoking!. I have about 1 pack-year, but definitely less than 2!. Smoked mostly Djarum Black (clove cigarettes)!. I completely stopped this past February!.

I have a history of asthma but finally "outgrew" it in my teens (I am now 22) thanks to Singulair!. This was before I started smoking!.

Last year I noticed that I was short of breath for about an hour after each cigarette, and I had two episodes where I felt like my lungs weren't absorbing the air I was breathing in and was suffocating!. This is ultimately why I quit!.

Recently I've noticed that those problems are coming back a little even though I haven't smoked!.

IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THERE IS ONGOING LUNG DAMAGE!?

WILL MY LUNGS REGAIN FULL FUNCTIONALITY OVER TIME!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course there is a possibility of ongoing lung damage !.!.!. we all have that !.!.!. the likelihood is no !.!.!.!.

Your lungs may or may not regain functionality over time !.!.!.

The real issue is that you starting smoking with your past history of asthma !.!.!. which has waken a dormant asthma !.!.!.
who knows how long this will continue !.!.!. it could be short lived (my guess) or become an unfortunate issue for you !.!.!.!.

Everything is a speculation to this point !.!.!. you need to be evaluated !.!.!.!.

I wish you better breathing !.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As you only smoked for 3 years, it doesn't sound like it would be smoking related!. Asthma could be back - or it could be allergies too; its the season for it!. Check with your dr!. if the problem is consisent and reoccuring frequently!. Most likely you don't have much lung damage, if any!. If you don't smoke for the rest of your life, your lungs will be "normal" again after several years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

!.!.!.are you sure you "outgrew" it!.

something may have set it off!.!.!.I know there are various things that trigger my attacks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course there is on going lung damage!. That is why there is a big Stop Smoking campaign!. Every time you smoke you are ruining them even further!. One day you will not be able to breathe you will try to but no air will be able to be absorbed!. Gasp, gasp, gasp!.!.!.!.!.!.!.did I scare you enough yet!?!?!?!?
