Answers:
Reactions to food may be allergy, intolerance or irritability - these are three different processes!.

Symptoms in ALLERGY (in children is common to wheat, milk, soy, eggs, peanuts and tree-nuts, in adults to fish, shellfish, peanuts and tree-nuts):
-lips or face swelling, hot flushes
-itchy throat, gagging
-itchy skin, rash, hives
-breathlessness
Symptoms occur within an hour after the meal, rarely after several hours!. Allergy is usually only to one or two different foods!.

FOOD INTOLERANCE:
- LACTOSE INTOLERANCE!. ONLY DAIRY PRODUCTS cause bloating and diarrhea, no weight loss!.
- CELIAC DISEASE!. ONLY FOODS CONTAINING GLUTEN may cause diarrhea, feeling sick, anemia, nausea, weight loss and variety of other symptoms, but NOT symptoms of allergy

IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME (IBS):
MANY DIFFERENT FOODS cause nonspecific problems as diarrhea, constipation and bloating!.

SELF-DIAGNOSIS
Exclude suspicious food for 3 days, and, if it was allergy, celiac disease (longer diet - at least a week - may be needed), or lactose intolerance, symptoms should improve in this time!. In IBS probably even longer diet (weeks) would be needed to see the difference!.

MOOD SWINGS often occur in intestinal CANDIDA!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This sounds like it may be Crohn's disease!. An old friend has it, and you are describing symptoms very similar to hers!.

I don't know all that much about Coelliacs (even though it runs through one side of my family)!. I've not been suspected of it, let alone diagnosed with it, so I won't try and advise you about it!.

Good luck with your tests though!Www@Answer-Health@Com
