Answers:
Your brother should absolutely be tested!. 134 before eating is 14 point over normal!. 136 is 16 points over normal!.

My doctor was concerned about 125!. He tested me and found out that I am type 2 diabetic!.

Anytime there is a blood relative, parent, sibling!.!.etc, there is a higher risk of another family members to become a diabetic!.

Normal as you probably know is 80 - 120!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Lucky! Was that a fasting number!? or was it before lunch or dinner!? And what else had he been eating or drinking!? There are all kinds of questions here, I know!

But your meter may be reading just that much too high! You need to go test your meter at the doctor's office or during your next blood analysis draw!. This will tell you where the meter is in terms of it's accuracy!. Yes, it will be the same difference all the time, but sometimes the scales on these things are way off!.

I have one meter that is right with the Lab and another make that is about 26 points higher than the lab reading or my first one!. It is just the way meters are made!.

You have to know the idiosyncrasies of the individual meters! then you can adjust your mind around that problem!. Add or subtract numbers from the reading to be on the same footing as the Lab or your doctor's office equipment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

These results are a little odd for anyone, whether diabetic or not!. The pre-meal numbers should have ideally been slightly lower, and the post- meal reading should have been moderately higher!. try the readings again and see if they come out the same!. If they do, then it wouldn't hurt for him to have a glucose test!. You could also have something wrong with your gluouse meter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
