When my blood sugars are high I feel like I am carring around another person on my back!. I feel weak and tired, so I would have to say yes it very well could be from your high blood sugar!. On another note, I too use an insulin pump and have had the expirence when the canula is bent after inserting and I don't know till I take it out!. But I had real high BG's and it seemed like my insulin wasn't 'working'!. After I change the infusion set it gets back to normal and I see that the thing was bent!. I see you said your numbers are coming down and that's good, so it might not be the set!. Could it have been something you ate last night!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Why is your blood sugar getting so high if your on the insulin pump!? Are you not exercising at all or eating a proper diet!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, high blood glucose will make the muscles hurt and be very tired and weak!. This is because the glucose is in the blood and not going into the muscles to feed them!.

Rare very high!?!? is your insulin bad!? have you got an infection!? Something is wrong there for you to have a very rare high, that high!!! I would call for a doctors appointment and take a sick day!.

I have just been informed that American Disabilities Act doesn't work if we take our meds whether they be insulin or orals!! We must take a sick day! And some sources say people are getting fired for checking their glucose levels on the job and having snacks to correct or even pushing the buttons on their insulin pumps without declaring a sick day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, fatigue in general is a symptom of high blood sugar!. There are other conditions linked to muscle fatigue - are you taking any medications that affect your liver, such as cholesterol-lowering drugs!?

You say you want to "check on this one thing" but I don't know what you're checking for!. Yes, you are in physical distress if you are running sugars that high and YES, it is affecting your body!. If you couldn't get the sugar down with insulin you have on hand it was worth a trip to the ER in my opinion!.

Edit: Glad it went down, do you feel any better!? Muscle fatigue is one of those symptoms they ask you to watch for on certain medications, but hopefully you would know about that if you were taking them because it can signal something very dangerous!.

That really sucks about no sick days - that seems criminal!. I thought they couldn't do that unless you could work from home!? They wouldn't want to be calling an ambulance when you collapse would they!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
